The photo of Kliton Merkaj, the 28-year-old who tragically lost his life during the night hours in a car accident in Berat, has been published.

The main suspicion of the police authorities is that the cause of the serious accident was the high speed at which he was traveling.

The young man first collided with a pole on the road and then ended up in a ditch on its side.

The vehicle burst into flames and the young man was burned inside. Residents of the area confessed that the noise was so loud that it woke them up, while when they approached the vehicle burst into flames.

This is a great tragedy for the Merkaj family, who lost both of their only sons within a few weeks.

The 28-year-old was returning from Fieri, where he reportedly went to notify his relatives to be present at his older brother's 40th birthday.

The latter was only 32 years old when he tragically drowned in the waters of the Osum River.

He suffered from mental health problems. As for the forensic expertise, the authorities say that the 28-year-old Kliton Merkaj has not consumed alcohol or narcotics.
