Albanian Etleva Bodi died in Italy, after her husband tried to strangle her, but after 48 hours she could not survive. The 31-year-old woman left behind 4 minor children, aged 5 to 13 years. Her brother Erjon Kanolja has given details of this serious event, while telling how his grandson, only 13 years old, called him after the event, saying "uncle, come quickly".
The victim's brother has opened an account on Gofound Me, where he calls on all Albanians to contribute to bring the body of Etleva Bodi to Albania, so that she can be laid to rest. Meanwhile, this aid will also go to the rehabilitation of four minor children, who are left alone, with their mother who passed away and their father already in prison.
" My name is Erjon Kanolja. The serious event that happened on the evening of October 27 in Savona, Italy, took the life of my innocent sister ETLEVA BODI who became a victim of her husband and his sick episodes of jealousy. I was notified that evening by my nephew, who is only a 13-year-old child: "Uncle, come quickly", was his call.
The police and medical forces did their best to save my sister's life, but it was impossible for her to survive due to the trauma she suffered and she passed away on the evening of October 29 at 21:00.
My sister left behind 4 children, the eldest of whom is only 13 years old. All 4 of these children are now in the hands of Italian justice and fate after their mother passed away and their father is under arrest.
We call on all Albanians and people sensitive to this tragedy that has happened to us to help us in any way to bring the dead body of our sister to Albania and also some help for the rehabilitation that will be done to her 4 minor children who she left behind.
Such an event has left us shocked and numb, unable to accept reality. An event like this has wounded us deeply in our souls and will remain an eternal trauma both for us and for the children who were present at the scene and the moment of the attempted murder. Please help us to bring her dead body and rehabilitate these 4 orphan children ", writes the victim's brother.
