Injury in Vienna

A 39-year-old woman was seriously injured in a knife attack by her ex-boyfriend in Vienna on Friday evening. 

The 39-year-old man from Kosovo spotted his ex-partner in front of her house and stabbed her, according to foreign media. The woman suffered multiple cuts and stab wounds to her back and shoulder. She was taken to the hospital for medical treatment and her life is out of danger 

At the moment when a passer-by saw the incident and notified the police, the suspect let go of the woman and ran away. Officials of the Wega special unit arrested the 39-year-old near the crime scene.

The author of the injury has refused to testify, while the Austrian authorities are working on the full investigation of the event.
