The full testimony of Laureta Buçpapaj given to the police is revealed, after her husband, Gazment Buçpapaj, was declared wanted as a suspect in the murder of Elgi Pashollari.
She confessed that at around 3:05 p.m. on February 20, after finishing her work hours, she left there in the Audi vehicle driven by her husband.
Laureta Buçpapaj further states that while moving in the area of "Ylbere Bylykbashi" street and "Kongresi i Lushnjes" street, a tense situation was created in traffic with a gray vehicle.
According to her, the driver of the vehicle had blocked her path and her husband honked his horn to signal him to open the way and they had heard that the driver of the vehicle had insulted them with harsh words from the family, but they had not reacted and had continued on their way.
Buçpapaj explained that when they continued on their way, the same car was moving very slowly in front of them, and again her husband Gazment Buçpapaj honked his horn and the gray car in front of them stopped.
"The driver, a man around 30 years old, with a thin body and a black short-sleeved shirt, got out of the vehicle, accompanied by two people who were with him, and approached their vehicle," the suspect's wife claimed.
At these moments, Gazment Buçpapaj also got out of the vehicle and they started punching each other.
Laureta Buçpapaj further added that she herself had gotten out of the car and pushed the driver and one of the people accompanying him.
After a few moments, she saw that the driver of the car was bleeding, but her husband grabbed her by the arm and the two of them drove away in their vehicle.
From the verification of security cameras, it resulted that about 50 meters from the scene they abandoned the vehicle and left on foot towards Kavaja Street and a little further they took a taxi and went to their apartment in the "Sharra" area.
"Her husband Gazment Buçpapaj changed his clothes, shirt and pants, and left the apartment on foot towards the capital, without taking his phone with him, and I have no further information about where he went," she further claimed.
Among other things, the woman stated that she did not see the moment Gazment Buçpapaj hit the driver of the vehicle that collided with some object, but she suspects that he may have hit her with a knife, which he was carrying with him in the vehicle.
Since the murder of Egli Pashollar, the suspected perpetrator Gazment Buçpapaj continues to be wanted by the police.
