Robbery alarm in Fier/ 20 cases in two months, 5 of them are thefts by fraud!

The number of thefts in the city of Fier is increasing significantly .

Over 20 cases have been registered over the last two months, 6 of which were theft by fraud.

This is a significant figure, in relation to the population of the district.

All cases have been documented by the Fier Police and involve perpetrators of different age groups. The targets of these thefts have been pharmacies and various businesses in the city.

According to lawyer Ervis Goxhaj, the main factors that push people to commit these criminal acts are related to difficult economic conditions and unemployment. Some of the perpetrators are also drug users.

" Most of the people who commit the criminal offense of theft, provided for by Article 134 of the Criminal Code, have economic problems and are unemployed. Some of them are drug users and due to addiction they are pushed to commit these offenses to provide income. In cases where violence or hard objects are used, the law provides for more severe penalties ," says lawyer Ervis Goxhaj.

In addition to common thefts, 6 cases of theft by fraud have also been identified, more sophisticated forms of the criminal offense, where the perpetrators benefit from considerable sums of money by promising to perform legal actions that in reality are not carried out.

The fact that in some cases the perpetrators are suspected of having been under the influence of narcotics at the time of the theft remains worrying, which increases the risk of using violence and poses a serious threat to the lives and safety of citizens who fall prey to robberies.
