EU provides 15 million euros for the Albanian Armed Forces, Gonzato: Another

The European Union has approved a second aid package of 15 million euros in support of the Albanian Armed Forces, within the framework of the European Peace Facility.

The news was announced by the EU Council on July 25 and was welcomed by the EU Ambassador to Tirana, Silvio Gonzato.

" Another important step in strengthening EU-Albania cooperation in the field of security and defense. Albania remains a close and consistent partner of the EU's foreign and security policy ," Gonzato wrote on the social network X, sharing the official announcement of the EU Council.

According to the official announcement, the financial assistance of 15 million euros will help improve Albania's capacities to contribute to EU Common Security and Defense Policy (CSDP) operations, as well as international security missions.
