Defense Minister Pirro Vengu is this evening in the areas affected by the fires, while the situation does not seem to be improving.

Vengu thanked the officers of the Armed Forces, who are facing the flames in the most dangerous hotbeds, on the south coast, the villages of Delvina and up to Konispol.

In the video published by the MoD, the sky "reddened" by the flames that have engulfed the mountains over the coastal villages, from Himara to Lukovo, can be seen.

"Minister Vengu thanks the officers of the Armed Forces who are fighting the fires in the villages of the area. The battle with the flames continues in some areas, while the hearths of Markat and Shalse in Konispol remain under monitoring", the Ministry of Defense announces.
