A serious incident was recorded this afternoon on the beach of Qerreti in Kavaja.

A 42-year-old resident of the Czech Republic lost her life after drowning while bathing in the sea.

"Around 16:00, on the beach of Qerret, Kavaja, while bathing in the sea, the citizen KK, 42 years old, resident in the Czech Republic, accidentally drowned.

The investigative group continues its work to clarify and fully document the circumstances of the event and the cause of the drowning," the police announcement states.
