The court hearing against Democratic Party MP Bardh Spahia, scheduled to take place at the Special Court (GJKKO), has been postponed due to his absence.

According to the defense attorney, Spahia is unable to attend the hearing, as he has had a broken leg for a month and, according to medical recommendations, cannot move.

However, after reviewing the medical documentation presented by the defense, SPAK prosecutor Dorina Bejko noted that doctors have recommended that Spahia can move with the help of crutches.

For this reason, she requested time to take the necessary measures to ensure the physical presence of the defendant at the next hearing.

The court decided that the next hearing will take place on October 10, where Bardh Spahia is expected to be present and questioned.

The Democratic MP is accused of obstructing the execution of a court decision, during the time he was mayor of Shkodra.

According to the investigative file, he failed to implement a court decision ordering the reinstatement of the Waterworks director, whom he had illegally dismissed.
