Father who killed his pregnant daughter with a Kalashnikov seeks reduced
Doksan Dushku

Doksan Dushku, sentenced to 16 years in prison for the Kalashnikov murder of his pregnant daughter in May 2014 in Slovo, Dibra, is seeking a reduction in his sentence at the Supreme Court.

11 years after the crime, Dushku has addressed this court, requesting the annulment of the sentence given to him by the Court for Serious Crimes in 2015, which was also upheld on appeal.

In the filed appeal, Dushku claims revocation of the sentence due to a decision of the Constitutional Court, to repeal a paragraph of the article of the Criminal Procedure Code on the consolidating of sentences.

Ultimately, he requests a sentence of 21 years in prison, which due to the shortened trial goes to 16 years.

Doksan Dushku, an 80-year-old man from Dibra, was accused and tried for the murder of his pregnant daughter, Fatmira Doksani, in the yard of their apartment in the village of Sllatinë, Sllovë municipality. The investigation revealed that the cause of the murder was the 21-year-old's pregnancy.

According to the Prosecution, this fact was noticed by her family a few weeks before the incident. The defendant Doksan claimed during the investigation that he had killed his daughter, and that he had done this because she had done it with great shame, because she had become pregnant, while being neither engaged nor married, and that this had been unacceptable to him.
