The stabbing of 14-year-old Erald Xhejo from the village of Zvirinë in Maliq has shocked public opinion. Residents of the area, who went to the minor's apartment to offer condolences, say he was a brilliant boy.

"I know the family, they're regulars, they're great guys. They used to pass you on the street and treat you with such respect. How this happened leaves me speechless. The family has two boys," said a resident.  

Another resident expressed shock at the incident and said she was going to offer her condolences to the family.

"We didn't know at all, today my son took me. Now I'm going to the family, we're friends. The event has shocked us," added a woman.

He was a captain's son, adds another resident, adding that he was the same age as his nephew.

"He was a captain's boy. What more can I say. I'm very shocked, at my nephew's age."

The serious incident took place outside a bar in the village of Pirg. The 14-year-old died as a result of a heart attack. The perpetrator, a 34-year-old man, was arrested along with his father, uncle, a 34-year-old man, and four other minors who were present at the event. The minors are charged with intentional homicide and reckless driving.
