The friend of the late journalist Kastriot Myftaraj, lawyer Kastriot Frasheri reveals details from the last days of the journalist's life and raises doubts about the suicide track.

Lawyer Frashëri says that Muftaraj had never shown any sign of depression or despair. As for the media reports that Myftaraj was suffering from brain cancer, his lawyer friend says that the scanner he performed a while ago at QSUT had detected a mass, but still they did not give a diagnosis.

Some serious media portals had fabricated incredible stories. I wanted to believe you but I couldn't. Eh, how could you believe this knowing your strength of character, wisdom and kindness. This forced me to go to your house as soon as the news broke and I had to lie to my mother, which I had never done in my life, that I saw you waiting at the door anxiously, not telling your mother what had happened. tired of the weight of the years, who believed what they had told her that you had run away to the emergency room for some tests not only without saying anything to her, but also leaving the door open... 

Two decades is not a short time to know a friend. Two famous Kastriots often kindly teased us about our acquaintances, both different and close. You were a special person with all human qualities, but knowledge was what stood out above the human encyclopedia. There were pros and cons about which we often argued vigorously. I was your biggest critic for many things you wrote even when you went too far, especially when I found out about them from others who sent me the relevant link. Sometimes you hurt my friends by putting me in a difficult position in front of them, although I had no prior information about this. I often say don't trust every story that comes your way so ask me before you publish it, let me be the editor,

Two weeks ago, I was a daily witness to your almost week-long examination at QSUT, engaging our best doctors to treat you for an unexpected symptom where the MRI detected a mass in the head but could not make a diagnosis without performing physical examinations. further detailed, as some media declared today the bad disease in the most vulgar way. During these two weeks, we talked every day for two or three times on the phone and you never showed me any sign of depression or despair, on the contrary, the strength, courage and responsibility to continue the examinations further. In you, my friend, you did not see any trace of experiencing this situation of which I am a witness! Circumstances made it so that my last phone call with you, my friend, was two days ago, and while I was asking you about the progress of the tests and presenting you some of the fees for the examinations in some hospitals outside Albania, I encountered your determination to carry out these abroad in Italy or Switzerland, as you were not sure about the treatment here. You stated all this calmly and decisively and that you were able to cover the financial costs, even if more money was needed, you told me with great certainty that some benefactors are ready to cover any necessary expenses that may arise. You even had guarantees of financial support from the President and the management staff where you worked at RTV ORA NEËS, who with tears in their eyes couldn't believe this happening to a strong and courageous man. One thing is irreversible that you, our friend, will no longer be near us, where you used to like to argue for hours, beating the night with every corner in conversations and debates that never ended.
