The Inspectorate of Territorial Protection in Tirana has reacted after an action by SPAK and the State Police that led to the arrest of two inspectors suspected of corruption, while two others were declared wanted.

IMT Tirana says that it distances itself and strongly condemns this case, and that it encourages every citizen to report similar cases.

IMT Tirana's full reaction:

Triggered by the event that happened today, where four employees of the Inspectorate of Territorial Protection have seriously violated the law, we inform the public opinion that our institution strongly condemns this case.

Such behaviour is unacceptable and IMT fully distances itself from these individual actions. All necessary administrative measures were immediately taken against the persons involved, dismissing them from office.

IMT encourages law enforcement bodies to cooperate fully and punish the case according to the law, as well as encourages every citizen to report similar cases, so that no shadow of doubt remains on the integrity of the institution and its mission.
