After the request that the Special Prosecutor's Office made to the Assembly for the removal of the MP's immunity against Arben Ahmetaj, as a person accused of corruption, information has circulated in the media that the former minister has escaped from Albania.

When asked about this issue, the criminalistics expert, Ervin Karamuço, says that this news is untrue, since according to a verification carried out by the authorities through the TIMS Ahmetaj system, it turns out that he is still inside the territory of the Republic of Albania.

Also, according to Karamuço, based on all the efforts of the former minister to show his innocence, it would be very surprising and ugly if he would avoid justice by leaving the territory.

"I don't know, but so far it has turned out to be a false news because the police have done a verification through the TIMS system, from which it turns out that Mr. Ahmetaj is in Albania. Also, this has been confirmed by his lawyer, who until a few minutes ago gave a statement where he said that my client is inside the territory of Albania.

I think that with all the efforts that Ahmetaj has made so far in public and in the media to defend and refute all the accusations that have been brought against him, it would be very surprising, even ugly, if he would avoid justice leaving the territory.

So, all this that you told him, based on two of my sources, from what I understand, tomorrow Ahmetaj will also face the Council of Immunities and Mandates, where he has been summoned together with his defender to be recognized and then he also gave his thoughts, his opinions and why not also his mistakes in relation to all the accusations that will be raised in the presence of the SPAK that will participate in the Assembly", said Karamuço in " Top Talk".
