The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana says that it has started criminal proceedings for the damages caused by the quarry of the Rraja tribe since two months ago, delegating it to the Kruja Police Station to carry out investigative actions.

The reaction of the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana comes after suspicions that it was the Police of Kruja, that with its inaction or by favoring one side, caused the conflict to degenerate into brutal violence by the Rraja tribe against the brothers of the Maya tribe.

The latter had complained several times to the Kruja police station, but according to one of the victims, not only had they not received positive answers, but they had also been threatened with arrest.

According to the Prosecutor's Office of Tirana, the proceeding for "Property Destruction" was registered on May 18 of this year and was delegated to the Kruja Police Station on May 25.

The Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Tirana General Jurisdiction, on the basis of the material referred by the Krujë Police Station, on 18.05.2023, has registered criminal proceedings no. 3223 of 2023, for the criminal offense "Destruction of property" , provided by article 150 of the Criminal Code. With letter No. 6422, dated 25.05.2023, the file has been delegated to the Krujë Police Station for investigative actions.

Following the material referred to no. 1466 by the Krujë Police Station, the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction of Tirana, on 19.06.2023, registered criminal proceedings no. 3872 of 2023, for the criminal offense of "Destruction of property", provided by Article 150 of the Criminal Code. The case is still in the phase of preliminary investigations.
