The Brindisi - Saranda ferry line, which was announced with great pomp on the eve of the tourist season, has been canceled without giving an official reason yet.

This announcement has come as an unpleasant surprise to many travelers and tour operators who had planned their trips around this new ferry line.

The company that operates the line has notified its customers about the cancellation of the line.

"Dear passengers, we inform you that the Brindisi-Saranda-Brindisi line has been cancelled. For trips from Italy we propose departure Brindisi-Vlora at 12.00 with arrival at 16.30 or full refund of the tickets. For returns from Albania, we propose departure Vlorë - Brindisi at 23.30 with arrival at 6.30 the following day, or a full refund of the ticket", the announcement states.

This development has caused concern among many passengers who had booked their trips and made plans for their summer vacations. Many of them now have to reschedule their trips, using alternative routes or requesting ticket refunds.

The cancellation of the Brindisi - Saranda ferry line comes at a critical moment for the tourism industry in Albania. Saranda, one of the most popular tourist destinations in Albania, had hoped for an increased flow of tourists thanks to this new ferry line.
