Andrew Bode, the executor of businessman Edmond Papa, was issued with a new passport just one day before he was declared wanted.

According to TV Klan, he applied for a passport in the place of his birth, in Berat, on December 29, 13 days after the murder he committed in the Selita area.

On December 30, he withdrew his passport in an expedited manner, while on December 31, the police arrested his accomplice, Albano Velo, and declared the 44-year-old Berata, who lived in a rented house in Kodra e Dielli, wanted.

Getting the passport was the last time he left a mark.

Sources of the investigative group set up to investigate Edmond Papa's murder say that after receiving the identification document, it is suspected that he may have left the country illegally.

While the passport may have been used by him to move from one EU member state to another, to lose track.

The country in which he may have crossed the border illegally is suspected to be Greece. He used to live there and it turns out that he was convicted of drug trafficking, for which he changed his name from Ervin to Andrew.

The Prosecutor's Office of Tirana requested this Friday the security measure of arrest and imprisonment in absentia, while Bode is expected to be declared internationally wanted.

According to the prosecutor's office, the footage and other indisputable evidence prove that it was Bode who shot the businessman Papa, while the arrested Albano Velo helped him follow him and remove him from the scene. Velo and Bode appear to have been friends with Aleksandr Sadikaj, killed in June 2022, and it is suspected that Edmond Papa's murder may be related to this event.
