Murder of Edmond Pope, Court orders prison in absentia for Andrew Bode

The Criminal Court of Tirana has decided in the absence of the measure of security arrest in prison for Andrew Boden from Berat. The 44-year-old is wanted as one of the suspected perpetrators of Edmond Papa's murder in the capital on December 16.

From this moment, Bode is also announced as an international search.

Andrew Bode is suspected of being outside Albania, crossing the border illegally. For the murder of the Pope, currently arrested is Albano Velo from Përmeti, a friend of Andrew Boden, as evidenced in many photos of them together.

The Police and the Prosecutor's Office suspect that Andrew Bode and Albano Velo are the executors of Edmond Papa, while the order was given by other people.

Bode and Velo were also known to Aleksandër Sadikaj from Tepelena, who was killed in the Great Ring of Tirana in June 2022, as his car blew up while driving.
