Albanian politicians are continuing their reactions against the decision taken by the judges of The Hague for the liberators of Kosovo. The next reaction came from the Albanian politician of North Macedonia, Leader of the Democratic Union for Integration, Ali Ahmeti who, like his counterparts, openly expresses his disappointment over the imprisonment of the former leaders of the KLA.
"Today's decision against Hashim Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Kadri Veseli and Rexhep Selim is a decision that I consider unjust and deeply disappointing.
In these difficult moments, I call for prudence and unity. We must not fall into any trap that aims to create tensions, division, or tarnish the liberation struggle of the people of Kosovo.
The KLA was born in response to oppression and fought for the freedom of Kosovo. The former allegations of organ trafficking, which weighed for years on the KLA and its leaders, did not become charges in this process. Also, today the Court declared the accused innocent of crimes against humanity; and emphasized that the KLA had the objective of Kosovo's independence, an objective that was achieved. These are facts that should be remembered every time someone tries to present the KLA as a criminal enterprise," Ahmeti writes in his reaction.
Further, the RMV politician continues his reaction by emphasizing that the legal process against the liberators does not end here. Ahmeti, like other politicians, emphasizes that the legal battle for the KLA four will continue in the Court of Appeal. In concluding his reaction to the decision against Thaçi, Krasniqi, Veseli and Selim, the leader of the LBDI emphasizes that the sacrifices of a people to liberate their country should not be placed in the dock.
Ali Ahmeti's full reaction:

The KLA was born in response to oppression and fought for the freedom of Kosovo. The former allegations of organ trafficking, which weighed for years on the KLA and its leaders, did not become charges in this process. Also, today the Court declared the accused innocent of crimes against humanity; and emphasized that the KLA had the objective of Kosovo’s independence, an objective that was achieved. These are facts that should be remembered whenever someone tries to present the KLA as a criminal enterprise.
The indictment charged Thaçi, Krasniqi, Veseli, and Selimi with responsibility for a series of alleged crimes during the years 1998-1999. We believe that these charges will also be dropped in the further judicial process, just as the previous allegations of organ trafficking did not materialize.
The process does not end here. We believe that the defense will continue the legal battle in the Court of Appeals, challenging the findings of the first instance and seeking justice until the end.
The KLA war was a war for freedom. The history of Kosovo cannot be rewritten and the sacrifice of an entire people cannot be put in the dock.
With faith in justice, the battle continues on appeal.
