After the announcement of the verdict in The Hague against the former KLA leaders, Gresë Krasniqi, the daughter of Jakup Krasniqi, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison, reacted.
In a reaction on social media, she described the decision as unfair and stated that the court acted politically.
"In a court that we consider unjust, political, racist and criminal, an equally unjust, political, racist and criminal decision was made. This decision ultimately changes the history of the Republic of Kosovo, puts a black mark on the KLA and equates the victim with the aggressor," writes Jakup Krasniqi's daughter.
Gresë Krasniqi stated that she will continue to believe in the innocence of her father and the three other former KLA leaders.
Reaction:
Dear citizens of the Republic of Kosovo,
Today, in the city of justice, the greatest injustice of this century occurred.
In a court that we consider unjust, political, racist and criminal, an equally unjust, political, racist and criminal decision was made. This decision ultimately changes the history of the Republic of Kosovo, puts a black mark on the KLA and equates the victim with the aggressor.
Four men who turned their weapons against the enemy, not to conquer or for power, but to defend the threshold of a house that was burning and being destroyed; to protect family members who were being raped, raped, tortured and killed; who were disappearing and expelled from their lands.
The KLA fought against the butcher of the Balkans, against one of the bloodiest armies in the region, against a military machine that committed genocide in Kosovo. And yet, today the liberators were condemned.
In this unjust court, the KLA spokesman was convicted today, while his then counterpart, Ivica Dacic, continues to be free and living quite well in Belgrade. This is just another clear indication of the biased and political nature of this same court.
Of course, this decision has hurt and disappointed us, but it will never break us and it will never give us up.
I live and will die with my complete conviction in the innocence and sincerity of my father, Hashim, Kadri, and Rexha.
Pride remains. Truth remains.
We will continue the fight for freedom and justice!
