A serious road accident was recorded this afternoon, around 2:35 p.m., on the Peqin-Elbasan national road in the area known as Vidhas.

It is reported that two vehicles were involved in this accident, while the consequences were serious for the driver of one of the cars and his wife, who were injured and were urgently transported to the nearest hospital to receive the necessary medical assistance.

It is suspected that the accident occurred when one of the vehicles, which had stopped for fuel, attempted to return to the highway. During this maneuver, it collided with another vehicle that was moving at high speed in the direction of Elbasan.

As a result of the strong collision, both vehicles veered off the road, ending up on top of each other. Traffic Police forces immediately arrived at the scene, secured the area and launched investigations to clarify the exact circumstances of the accident.
