The Vlora court has remanded in custody the man arrested two days ago, Eris Mehmeti , accused of helping to drive away Renato Hoxhaj's executioner after the assassination attempt on the evening of April 27.

Eris Mehmeti, in front of police officers, denied having any connection to Hoxha's murder, while the motives for the crime still remain unknown, the perpetrator, masked and wearing a hunting hat, fled the scene of the incident.

However, faced with the fact that the vehicle is his property, he has admitted this, stating to the police that the car is the same as the one he owns.
