Fatal accident in Gjirokastra, elderly woman hit by police officer

A passenger on the Gjirokastër-Ioannina passenger line has died on the spot after an accident caused by a State Police officer on the Gjirokastër-Kakavijë axis.

The victim, Kostulla Harito, 71 years old, had just gotten off the bus when she was hit by a vehicle driven by a police officer.

The investigation team and the AMP went to the scene, where they escorted their colleague to the police premises.

The Traffic Police are working to determine the causes of the fatal accident.
