For the first time in Albania, an online reservation system for license plates of special series has been applied. The General Directorate of Road Transport Services has published the first auction of personalized license plates.

"The hammer hit the table at 15:00, in our warehouse in Fushë-Preze, thus starting the first Auction of Personalized License Plates!

An all-automotive atmosphere welcomed our newest service, the innovation of Auction, for a very high standard of transparency in the purchase of the preferred combination, starting to build an honest trading culture, despite the past behaviors of under the counter and bribery!

Taboos that are broken in the country where private road vehicles were a heresy until 1990, while today the local fleet grows to over 850 thousand vehicles and we creatively generate funds that go to educational programs on road safety and automotive heritage activities, Retro Albania, modern systems and infrastructure, investments and capacities!

Amidst cheers, signs being lowered and raised to bid the highest value, the winners of the first license plates were announced by auction.

Everyone is curious to know which license plate is the most coveted and paid the most. License plate "ZZ77ZZ" with several bidders was sold for 430,000 Lek, followed by license plate "7ZZZ7" and license plate '1K1NG'!

Note:
For all categories, in addition to the value of the service, a value of 7,700 Lek will be applied, which includes the standard fees for the license plate/vehicle registration device at the DRSHTRR for vehicles*; while this value for motor vehicles is 6,700 Lek. 
*For vehicles, RBS fees, Transfer of Ownership or license plate format change from rectangular to square are not included. 
All applicants for this service will have priority in performing the procedures, without waiting in line.
