Under strict security measures, a court hearing begins at the Court of Appeal of General Jurisdiction for Rubens Saraiven, suspected of the murder of Ardian Nikulaj.

The incident occurred on April 19, 2023 at his bar in Shëngjin.

The Lezha Court of First Instance has sentenced Portuguese citizen Saraiva to life imprisonment.

Nikulaj's family members are also present in the hall.

At the start of the session being held at the Tirana Court of Appeal, the defendant signed a statement that he does not know the Albanian language and requested an English translation from the translator.
