The decision that surprised everyone, Varane bids farewell to the
Raphael Varane

The central defender Raphael Varane has made a surprising and unbelievable decision for football fans

He has announced that he has withdrawn from the French national team. Everyone is surprised by this decision, as Varane is only 29 years old.

"Representing our great country for a decade has been one of the greatest honors of my life. Every time I wore this special jersey, I felt immense pride. The task is to give everything, play with heart and win every time we go out on the field. I thought for a few months and decided that the time was right for me to retire from international football," read the first paragraph of the long announcement.

Varane has made 93 appearances for the French national team, scoring 5 goals. We recall that at the end of Qatar 2022, Benzema, Hugo Lloris and Mandanda officially announced their withdrawal from the national team.
