Tottenham wins the Europa League trophy

Tottenham

Tottenham have ended a 17-year wait without a trophy since the League Cup in 2007, while their last European trophy dates back to 1984 when they won the Uefa Cup.

The Londoners secured the Europa League win, after defeating Manchester United 1-0 in the final.

The only goal of the match was scored in the 42nd minute by Johnson. Despite Manchester United's attempts to equalize, Tottenham defended well, to achieve a great success.

In addition to winning the trophy, the Londoners also secure qualification for the Champions League.

On the other hand, Manchester United sealed a completely failed season, having been left out of Europe in the championship.
