Thiago Motta has spoken for the first time since being fired as Juventus coach.

In an interview with the daily "Corriere della Sera", the 42-year-old technician thinks that the Black and Whites should have given him more time.

"Juventus should have given me time, even though it is true that the last two games were played badly and the black and white leaders legitimately chose another path. I am disappointed because it did not go as I had hoped, especially in the Italian Cup and the Champions League. But I do not want to talk about bankruptcy, we were one point away from fourth place, the primary objective at the start of the season", said Thiago Motta.

The former coach of the "Old Lady" dismissed rumors of clashes with sports director Cristiano Giuntoli and the players.

"Whoever says that is a liar. I had a good relationship with all the players. I don't accept lies. I have never had a fight with the director, never! Just like I never told Yildiz that he wasn't Messi," Motta added.

Thiago Motta thanked the black and white fans for the emotions they experienced together, while he emphasizes that the "Old Lady" must return to winning ways.
