His salary of 72 million gross euros per season, or in other words six million gross euros per month, is undoubtedly the most important contract a footballer has ever signed.

Until Mbappe, the one leading the way was Lionel Messi with his renewal at Barcelona in 2017. At that time, the Argentinean found a deal to renew for four years from which he benefited a whopping 555 million euros gross.
