Andrea Pirlo is no longer the coach of Sampdoria. The Serie B club has decided to fire the well-known technician, after the last loss in the championship, against Salernitana.
Sampdoria has started the championship very badly, accumulating only 1 point in the first three weeks, and this has led the leaders to make the decision to change the coach.
The last defeat with Salernitana with the result 3-2 has filled the cup and the managers have communicated the dismissal to Pirlo.
The management of the well-known Italian team has been entrusted to the former coach of Udinese, Andrea Sottil. The latter will make his debut against Bari on August 31 at home.
Pirlo managed Sampdoria in 45 matches, where he recorded 16 wins, 12 draws and 17 losses.
