A draw was enough for Napoli to be declared champions of Italy for the third time in history. But what makes this story more special is that the defender of Kosovo, Amir Rrahmani, also lifts the trophy.
His story is unimaginable and few could have thought that he would be declared champion of Italy. Everything starts from Kosovo in 2010. Rrahmani played football with the youth of Drenica in the city of Skenderaj in Kosovo.
After playing with the first team of Drenica, he was bought by Partizan in Albania. From here it seems that the defender started the ascent.
First it touched Croatia. From RNK Split, then to Dinamo Zagreb and finally Lokomotiv Zagreb. Rrahmani tried all the main teams of Croatia and here he got the confirmation.
It was ready for Italy! In 2019, he bought Verona for 2 million euros. On August 18 of that year, the 28-year-old made his debut for the Italian Cup against Cremonese.
Six months later, Napoli buys the card of the defender of Kosovo. They paid 14 million Euros for his services. But the Neapolitans had decided to leave it again to Verona. And so it happened. Rrahmani ended the 2019/2020 season with Verona on loan.
In August 2020, Rrahmani officially joined Napoli. He made his debut on 3 January 2021 in a win against Cagliari.
Rrahmani has continued with good performances and this season he has been almost the starter in all the challenges. In Serie A he counts 25 games, while in the Champions League 7 for this season.
Amir Rrahmani is a representative of the Kosovo national team with whom he has 48 appearances and scored 6 goals.
