Lionel Messi sits on Sergio Aguero's shoulders, clutching the World Cup trophy tightly. Messi chose to post the photo on Instagram – now the most liked post in Instagram history, surpassing a regular brown egg.
The photo was taken by Getty Images photographer Shaun Botterill.
After Messi had spent some time with his family after receiving the trophy, the Argentina captain began to walk towards the fans, causing photographers to rush towards the goal in that part of the pitch.
"I almost got stuck, but I just got stuck in the right place," photographer Shaun Botterill told CNN. “I think if most of us (photographers) are honest, you always need a bit of luck and I had a bit of luck. Messi was there and he wasn't moving much."

Botterill immediately sent the photo to his editors. Coincidentally, Botterill's son happened to be at work at the time.
"The guy texted me and said, 'I edited the picture, dad, it's a pretty nice picture,'" Botterill recalled.
Even after a career that began at the 1986 World Cup, Botterill says these moments still seem surreal.
Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg confirmed that Messi's Instagram post, which begins with Botterill's photo, had broken the record for the most liked post in Instagram history.
"So it's a bit ironic that all of a sudden I'm this old man with no social media who, obviously thanks to a great footballer, took a photo that made a name for himself. So it's really funny – I got off the plane and I didn't know what the hell was going on."
Messi's post now has more than 73 million likes.
