Lionel Messi added another remarkable chapter to his career by scoring his 110th goal for Argentina in a match against Bolivia.
"The Flea" not only opened the scoring of the match, but added two more goals at the end of it in Argentina's 6-0 victory over Bolivia for the qualifiers of the 2026 World Cup in South America.
The treble saw Leo Messi secure his place as the second highest goalscorer in international football.
The Inter Miami star has overtaken legendary Iranian player Ali Daei, closing in on Cristiano Ronaldo at the top.
Messi's international journey began on 3 January 2006, when he scored his first goal for Argentina in a friendly match against Croatia. Despite Argentina losing 3-2 that day, Messi's brilliance was undeniable and a legacy was born from there.
Eighteen years later, at the age of 37, Messi still dominates the global stage.
With 110 goals in 189 appearances, he joins a select few who have left an indelible mark on the international game.
Only Cristiano Ronaldo, with 132 goals, stands ahead of Messi on the all-time list.
