The striker of Rela Madrid, Karim Benzema celebrates his 35th birthday today, but he has given a bitter news to all his followers.

Through a post on social networks, Benzema announces his withdrawal from the French national team, where he writes: "I have tried and made mistakes to be who I am today. And I'm proud of that. I wrote my story and our story is coming to an end."

In 2021, Karim Benzema returned to the French national team after a long break. Previously, Didier Deschamps did not call the striker due to a scandal with Valbuena. Benzema competed at Euro 2020 but missed the 2022 World Cup due to injury.

In total, Karim Benzema made 97 appearances for the French national team. The striker scored 37 goals and provided 20 assists.
