Ivan Perisic will leave Tottenham just a year after he moved to the London team from Inter. Even though he still has one year left on his contract with Spurs, one of the most important players of the Croatian national team has chosen to end his cooperation with the Premier League club.

Sky Sport writes that the 34-year-old will continue his career with Hajduk Split, his favorite team. The left winger grew up in Hajduk's academy, but never managed to debut with the first team. A wish that will finally come true.

The winger was sold by Hajduk U17 to Sochaux for 360,000 euros in the summer of 2006.

17 years ago came the transfer to France. Then adventures with Roeselare and Club Brugge (Belgium).

In 2011, he took the big step by signing with Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga. Then Wolfsburg, Inter, Bayern Munich and Tottenham.

Perisic counts 127 games and 33 goals with the Croatian national team. During his career he won several championship titles (Dortmund, Inter, Bayern). With the Bavarians, he also enjoyed the Champions League trophy (2020).

"I promised myself a long time ago that I will return to Hajduku. I spent seven years there, without being able to debut in an official match. My comeback must happen. It will be soon, although I don't know exactly when", declared Perisic some time ago.

The moment is coming and he is ready to return home, make his debut with Hajduk and fight for the championship title with the team he has been a fan of since childhood.

The trophy that has been missing since 2005 in the beautiful Croatian city and one of the most ardent fans in Europe.
