Andres Iniesta, in tears, has announced that he is leaving the Japanese team "Vissel Kobe" six months before the end of the contract, after the coach put him on the bench, activating him as a starter only three times this season.
However, the Barcelona icon plans to continue his career

Asked where he can play, he answered: "I have to tell you the truth, I don't know."

"I want to continue playing football. I feel like I can still play. But as this chapter closes, we will see what is possible. I want to finish my career on the field playing and that's what I hope to do," he added.

The lack of minutes has forced Iniesta to leave the club, as he has only played three times in the league and twice more in the cup this season.

"The priorities of the coach (Takayuki Yoshida) are different, and I respect and accept that," said Iniesta.

Recent reports have linked him with a contract in the Middle East, but no details about the clubs.

"It's a very exciting day after so many years," he said. "I tried to give my best on and off the field. I am very proud of that."

The former Barcelona midfielder, who turned 39 earlier this month, joined Kobe in 2018 after a stellar career at the Catalan club where he won 30 trophies.
