Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has said that Liverpool are not one of the favourites for the Champions League this season due to their defensive problems.
He believes that Arne Slot's team is missing chances and being saved in the final minutes of the match.
Arne Slot's side beat Atletico Madrid 3-2 thanks to a last-minute goal from Van Dijk on Wednesday evening.
The Reds had a 2-0 lead inside the first 10 minutes, but a brace from Marcos Llorente saw Atletico Madrid level the score.
Henry analyzed the match for CBS Sports and explained why conceding too many goals has stripped Liverpool of their favorite tag.
He said: "Liverpool... I don't know. I think since pre-season they conceded too many goals, they need to correct that. They even saved themselves against Burnley at the end and you have to find a way to win games, so we're not complaining about that. But in the Champions League, if you concede too many goals, it's difficult to win."
Liverpool have also needed late goals in all four Premier League games this season.
They also twice lost a 2-goal lead, against Bournemouth and Newcastle United, with the latter being down to 10 men.
