Inter lost to Bayer Leverkusen in the final match of the Champions League group stage. However, this defeat has not affected the position in the standings of the black and blue team, who are increasingly close to qualifying directly for the 1/8 stage, without having to go through the playoffs.
But, as Cassano says, nothing is certain. That's why, in the latest episode of Viva el Futbol – the streaming format hosted by Lele Adani and Nicola Ventola – Antonio Cassano attacks coach Simone Inzaghi, harshly criticizing Inter's attitude in the match against Xabi Alonso's team in Germany.
A fan intervenes in the studio and describes Inter's performance as "somewhat shameful", finding support from Antonio Cassano, who at that moment attacks Simone Inzaghi mercilessly: "There is a big difference and this is my opinion: on the bench at Leverkusen there is a phenomenon, while at Inter there is a pipe (failure)". At this point, the reactions of the two co-moderators, Ventola and Adani, are immediate. Adani in particular, surprised by Cassano's words, immediately intervenes to stop him: "No, pipe no - he says together with Ventola. - It's excessive, Anto".
Adani knows that Cassano has often criticized Simone Inzaghi, questioning his coaching style, the way he organizes the team on the field and other details of his work. But perhaps he did not expect to hear such a harsh term for the coach. He tries to instruct Cassano to soften his tone: “You have never used the pipe before,” – Adani emphasizes, suggesting a correction, which Cassano accepts. “Then let's say weak coach,” – he adds. After that, Cassano explains his dissatisfaction in more detail.
“Tell me one Leverkusen player who would play for Inter?” Cassano asks. At that moment Adani replies: “That’s a good consideration.”
Cassano continues his analysis: "The difference is that at Leverkusen there is a coach who likes football the way we like it, studies, helps the players develop, while Inzaghi, strangely enough in difficult matches, decides to have Taremi clashing left and right."
He adds: "In Italy it seems like he plays well and dominates. I said pipa before, he's not pipa, but he's not good, I don't like him. He's lost two championships, he's going to the Champions League and he's taking heavy blows. Last year he went out against a team weaker than his."
