Protest in Tirana

Prime Minister Edi Rama has warned of measures against the families of minors who participated in the violent protests, stating that they will be held responsible for the damages caused.

Rama also stated that young people who have used violence against the police will not benefit from free education, while emphasizing that they will not receive funding from the taxes of Albanian citizens.

"I tell all the families of those children, you will pay. You let the streets from the age of 13 take on the role of shield for others. The bill for those damages will haunt you to the end."

They will not return to school normally.

"Those who go out and abuse police officers, after throwing stones at the parents of other children, will not have free education. They will not receive a single grain of lek from Albanian taxes," said Rama.
