The head of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, has reacted after the Democratic Party's opposition to participating in consultations with President Bajram Begaj on setting the date for the 2027 local elections.

Through a post on social media, Balla ironized the Democrats, recalling previous boycotts and clashes within the opposition.

He confirmed that the Socialist Party will participate in consultations with the president, while mentioning the period April 15 - May 15, 2027 as the time when local elections are expected to be held.

"Every President of the Republic has followed the same procedure, inviting political parties to consult on the election date. But today the "Molotov cocktail warehouse" - SHQUP has expressed itself against this tradition.

I hope they will call to mind and participate in the LOCAL ELECTIONS sometime between April 15 - May 15, 2027. They have tried the opposite in various forms with boycotts, with a stamp, without a stamp, etc.
