The leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, has condemned the violence inflicted on students during the protest in Tirana, describing the police intervention as "narco-state terror."
Through a reaction on social media, Berisha expressed his solidarity with the protesting students, praising their resistance and demanding an end to violence.
"Stop the terror of the narco-state bandits against courageous students! Honor the missionary students!", writes the leader of the DP.
The leader of the Socialist Party parliamentary group, Taulant Balla, has also reacted to the protest, who in fact has a direct message for the leader of the Democratic Party.
"Sali the fraudster released the full video! Watch when this "student" hits the State Police officers with the concrete slab," he writes, alongside the footage.
On the other hand, Deputy Prime Minister Albana Koçiu has condemned the violence and attacks against institutions and the State Police.
"It is sad to see how the culture of protest degrades into orchestrated violence and, apparently, severely "provoked" by sidewalk tiles. Violence has not been, is not and will never be a solution. The noise of stones, attacks on institutions and the State Police, as well as the senseless destruction of public property, are not the language with which it befits youth to express themselves, but the old habit of those who use young people to cover up their political incompetence," she writes.
