The Minister of Defense, Pirro Vengu, and the Minister of the Interior, Ervin Hoxha, in a communication to the media from Delvina on Wednesday evening, showed the current situation in this area and the area of Gramsh, most affected by the large fires of the previous day.

Asked about the controversy of the last few days about the lack of Albanian aircraft to extinguish fires, Minister Vengu said that the aircraft are in the process of being purchased, while emphasizing the lack of pilots to drive these aircraft.

He said that the Gramsh hearth has been fixed and today there is no spread of it, while emphasizing that there are several hearth in the municipality of Finiq and 1 other in Tirana, outside the residential areas that is being monitored.

"The hearth of Gramsh has been fixed, there is no spread today, the situation in the municipality of Finiq has several hearths, and in the Blue Eye, the wind and temperatures are in our favor. We have a situation in Tirana, at altitude, far from residential areas where we must be vigilant... What we need to do is find the pilots of the aircraft, for which the purchase procedures have been completed, so we have also opened an aviation school. The aircraft are being purchased, they must be produced to come to Albania, it is a process that takes time, everything is transparent, we have not made any disbursements because we have not concluded a contract", said Minister Vengu.
