DP MP, Ina Zhupa responded to Prime Minister Edi Rama on the Butrint issue, saying that he will take him to SPAK.
In her speech in the Assembly, she raises the question why no Albanian expert or researcher was included in the management plan.
Zhupa says the government is treating Butrint as a commercial commodity, so no one should be surprised if plane tickets are bought to justify millions.
Zhupa: If private property has ever been given in Butrint, the prime minister can take it to SPAK. If he does not go to SPAK because he is afraid that other issues will be opened to him, let him know that I will take him. Butrint will be given on concession, this was not denied by the Prime Minister either.
Butrinti said he has our American partners, in fact it does not complicate us, this is just the facade, DASH says that corruption is endemic in all branches and there is no way our Ministry of Culture is not part of this corruption.
He accused us as a herd, in fact we are not a structured criminal group, we are not a gang. With the same passion, Rama has defended the incinerators affair. This starts in 2018, the law on cultural heritage that has been made unconstitutional and is in conflict with the Paris Convention. Mrs. Kumbaro, you may be the godmother of this project but it does not mean you protect it, let us finish it.
You come to us and tell us that the state will be there that Minister Elva Margariti will be part. It is interesting that Margariti is introduced as part of the board as a name, but not an institution. There are 5 people on board and Margariti is only one and there is no point of the court decision where it is said that she has the right to veto. The other 4 people who are private and this is black on white, the court decision, it is a fact, I do not say.
You got to the point where you made the integrated management plan without involving any experts, any Albanian scholars who today are all against. Why do you think there was no value in asking Auron Tare and other Albanian archaeologists and researchers?
We endanger our Albanian identity, we can not allow this because we are voted by those citizens to protect what you are trying to steal with laws and government decision. Your government has decided to treat Butrn as a commercial commodity. Do not be surprised if at incinerators we have money for plane tickets, to buy flour and sugar, money to justify the millions that will be taken from Butrint.
