The overwhelming victory of the Socialist Party, alone in over 50 municipalities, resembles the lowest point of pluralism in Albania.

Without taking away any credit for winning the elections to the party in power, these elections showed what many know, all in one form or another admit, that with the current opposition, old, divided, unable to produce alternatives reliable, and no longer a breath, we will most likely have Edi Rama with an overwhelming majority in power for at least another 6 years.

Albania may be socialist in 90 percent of the territory, but despite the fact that most Albanians have voted left in 30 years, this does not mean that the country deserves the opposition that these elections produced. The May 14 election already sealed what had been brewing in the voters' consciousness for a long time.

The signs were already given with Lulzim Basha and Monika Kryemadhi, when the Albanians preferred to vote again for Edi Rama for the third mandate (the third mandate!!!) in order not to return Sali Berisha and Ilir Meta to power. More than once, in 2021 and 2022, although the latter partial local elections.

A lesson that was not understood by the mass membership of the two parties, who in controversial ways and forms continued with the old leadership, perhaps even under the violence of the two traditional leaders, whom the parties consider their property and leave no space for the release of new figures.

Young people who want to move forward must conform to the model of the leader (see Belind Kelliçin) and wait for the moment, the physical death of the leader, to target the party. Physical death, because Sali Berisha, not to mention apparently also Ilir Meta, are politically dead, because both of them together failed to get as much as Lulzim Basha on his worst day.

The two together defeated Lulzim Basha only in the elections in which he did not participate. But even if he did not participate, at least Lulzim Basha held the Municipality of Shkodra, which they lost shamefully.

This does not mean that with Lulzim Basha on April 21, 2021, the opposition would have hope. On the contrary, the result would still have been a loss, perhaps not to this extent, but still a deep loss, as long as it was a bad copy of the original.

In any form, the opposition in the eyes of those who want to see and can read had long been on its way to its deathbed.

Dhe i pari që e kishte dhe e ka të qartë këtë, është Sali Berisha. Ai e ka lexuar me kohë faktin se koha e tij politike ka mbaruar, se shqiptarët që kanë lindur, janë rritur, po lindin breza të tjerë me Sali Berishën në krye të politikës, nuk duan ta pranojnë më atë, se ata që e kanë votuar në më shumë se 3 dekada po bëhen gjithmonë e më të paktë e po largohen prej tij, e që në rastin më të mirë nuk dalin më as të votojnë.

Por kjo pak i intereson. Atij i intereson për arsyet që dikur i thoshim nën zë, e tani janë në dritë të diellit, vetëm të ruajë gardhin e vet, sado i vogël, sado të zvogëlohet zgjedhje pas zgjedhjesh. Sali Berishës nuk i duhet një PD në pushtet, sepse e di që kjo nuk ka për të ndodhur kurrë.

Tani këtë e dinë edhe ata që e votuan, ata që e rrethojnë, ata që e mbështesin sepse kanë vënë gurin në radhë për kur ai të mos jetë më. Tani e dinë të gjithë, edhe ata më të verbrit.

Sali Berishës i duhet një formacion politik që ta mbrojë nga ato që ai ka frikë se do t’i ndodhnin nëse do të ishte një qytetar i lirë, një njeri i thjeshtë që do të kujtohej për të mirat apo të këqijat që ka bërë në karrierën e tij politike.

Madje, do të ishte shumë më i vlerësuar nëse në 2013-n do të kishte ikur e do të kishte parë punët e tij, sepse koha kalon dhe zullumet sado që nuk harrohen, në memorien kolektive zbehen, ndërsa të mirat rivlerësohen.
