The count for 'local parliaments' has ended at 48 and continues at 7 more. There are no surprises for the Socialist Party, which continues to lead in the vast majority of municipalities, even where it has not won the mayor, as in the case of HImara or Has. What is noticeable from the counting of votes so far for the municipal councils is the second defeat and the even greater loss of Berisha-Meta.
The official Democratic Party has a significant percentage in a good part of the municipal councils, while the 'Together We Win' coalition has far fewer votes than it received for the candidates. This is clear in a bastion like Shkodra where Berisha-Meta do not exceed 24%, this shocking result for the former bastion of Sali Berisha.
This means that if the official PD had released candidates for mayors, the loss of the coalition between Berisha and Meta would have been much greater. This result will make the 'fight' for the stamp in the Democratic Party even more interesting, since the rejection by the Democrats is important to Sali Berisha.
In Elbasan and Poliçan, where the counting for the municipal councils has been completed, SP has secured the majority of mandates, winning deeply against BF and the Democratic Party. Specifically, in Elbasan, SP received 28 mandates, BF, 7 mandates, PD 1 mandate and one mandate each for PSD, the Green Party, PDS and PDIU. While in Poliçan, out of 15 possible mandates, SP has won 13. While BF and PD each get one mandate.
In Pustec, the counting has ended, where SP received 5 mandates, BF 4 mandates, PAA 1, PDS 1, PSD 1 and the Macedonian Alliance for European Integration 3 mandates. In the municipality of Fushë Arrëzi, PSD and PAA have received the majority of mandates with 3 mandates each. Meanwhile, in Tropoja, SP has a greater number of votes, securing more mandates than the coalition Together We Win.
