The new British ambassador in Tirana, Nick Abbott, presented his credentials to President Bajram Begaj on Friday.

"A new chapter begins in the relations between the United Kingdom and Albania with the assumption of office by the British ambassador, Nick Abbott. This also marks the advancement of the relationship from friends to partners for progress, implying a strong and dynamic partnership", says an announcement from the British embassy.

"Ambassador Abbott will lead our efforts to deepen cooperation, focusing on shared opportunities and challenges. From economic growth to cultural exchange, we are committed to creating concrete benefits for both countries. We invite all Albanians to join us in this journey. Together, we can achieve extraordinary progress and shape a brighter future for our countries", the announcement emphasizes.
