The Prime Minister of Hungary, Viktor Orban has sent a letter to the chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, thanking him for the wish he made after the victory in the parliamentary elections in Hungary.

In his letter, Orban also recalled Sali Berisha's visit to Budapest in 2014, appreciating the exchange of views on certain issues that determined the fate of the two friendly countries, as he writes.

In the correspondence, Prime Minister Orban stressed that his victory is a guarantee for the political stability and economic development of Hungary, but also a courageous stance for the peace and security of the country. The Hungarian Prime Minister has assured Berisha that he will remain committed to defending the common Christian-conservative values ​​and to developing the Albanian-Hungarian relations in the future.

Orban also wished Berisha success in his new tasks with high responsibilities.

Recall that although Hungary is part of the EU, Orban is in conflict with Brussels over laws against the LGBTI + community.

Dear Mr. President,

I would like to express my gratitude for your congratulations after our victory in the parliamentary elections in Hungary.

I am proud that Hungarian citizens have expressed their belief in an independent government based on national values ​​and have honored us with their belief for the fifth time already. I believe that this strong mandate is not only a guarantee for the political stability and economic development of Hungary, but it is also a courageous stand for the peace and security of our country.

It was an honor to meet you in Budapest in 2014 and to exchange views on issues that determined the fate of our countries. I really appreciate the open and sincere friendship you have shown towards Hungary and the Hungarian people for many years now. I assure you that we will remain committed to defending our common Christian-conservative values ​​and also to developing the Albanian-Hungarian relations in the future.

I wish you health and much success in your tasks with high responsibilities.
