The Constitutional Court's decision leaves Veliaj as mayor, Florjan Binaj

Florjan Binaj, the opposition candidate for the Municipality of Tirana, has reacted on social media after the Constitutional Court's decision in favor of Erion Veliaj, while the latter will continue to hold the position of mayor of Tirana.

In his post, Binaj emphasizes that he stands by the idea and the need for change, expressing his conviction for the continuity of his journey as a candidate for mayor of Tirana.

"For me and for the citizens of Tirana, the essence remains the same: Tirana needs change. I will run for mayor of Tirana whenever elections are held with the same conviction, dedication and energy to serve the people with honesty, accountability and transparency."

This is not a race for power, but an effort for our city, to make it the home we want to leave to our children. The support, encouragement and trust that thousands of citizens have given me these days have convinced me that together we will succeed.

"Our journey continues. Nothing will stop the change that the citizens of Tirana want," Binaj wrote.
