Datë kthimi nuk ka për ish-ministrin e Financave, pasi në ditën e kthimit ai është aksidentuar në pikën kufitare Tabanoc – Kumanovë, pikërisht me makinën që kishte udhëtuar drejt Bukureshtit. Fotot e qarkulluara në internet, tregojnë targën e makinës, që Ahmetaj ka përdorur në këtë udhëtim.
