MP Monika Kryemadhi has responded to former President Ilir Meta's accusation that "a coup was staged to leave her out of the party." She stated that the burning of mandates came as a result of her lack of experience as president and not to leave Meta out.

"Of course, from the perspective of the SMI or the Freedom Party, there was no such coup. There may have been a lack of experience on my part as party leader at the time, the lack of a sympathetic advisory group at the time, but perhaps the hatred of certain people, they had personal hatred towards Edi Rama or the SP, who accepted any kind of extreme decision ," said Kryemadhi on the "Opinion" show.

The Freedom Party MP said for the first time that Lulzim Basha was denied a US visa in 2018 due to the Russian funding dossier.

"In all the contacts I have had, I have asked what is the reason that the State Department accepted the cancellation of the June 5 agreement. It was Mr. Basha himself who in some way was responsible for his problems, perhaps the rejection of the American visa that was given to him in 2018.

"I'm sure because we were going to leave together to Michigan, where I had some other meetings and he was going to have some other meetings and Mr. Basha was denied an American visa. And for this reason, since McGonigal's pressure also began at that time, it's not just an issue, but there is a file on Russian financing ," said Kryemadhi.

The mayor declared businesses in which Lulzim Basha is involved, such as the Port of Durres, and also mentioned activities of his people in Ukraine.

"I never make mistakes and I never say things that are untrue. It is one thing that again, Mr. Basha's story, just as it happened to Erion Veliaj, will happen to Mr. Basha too. I hope that the Dutch government has finished the investigation into what Mrs. Basha's husband lives on in Albania and what his political party functions on," said Kryemadhi.

During the interview, she revealed that she has entered the world of cinematography.

"I have several projects in hand. I am in the process of making a feature film, with a group of young people, I have an important role, which is called "Fortunate". It is a very interesting film that has at its core family, the dreams of young people to realize and how the challenges they face and clash with, the society in which we live which comes in the most different ways.

"We hope to release it in the summer very soon, we are shooting, some of the scenes have been shot and we are shooting. I am convinced that you will like it because it is very interesting. I think it will be something different that has some kind of impact on my political and active life ," she said.
